President of Poland H.E. Mr. Bronisław Komorowski to join three Baltic Presidents at The Rīga Conference 2010

President’s panel has become a tradition for The Rīga Conference 2010 which annualy gathers the heads of three Baltic states for the most significant security and foreign policy forum in Northern Europe. This year President of Poland H. E. Mr. Bronisław Komorowski will join the three presidents of the Baltic states – H.E. Mr. Valdis Zatlers (Latvia), H.E. Mrs. Dalia Grybauskaitė (Lithuania) and H.E. Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves (Estonia) – to reconfirm the common perception of challenges and commitments shared across the Baltic states and once again stress the importance of the regional cooperation in the context of the recent economic crisis.

Returning stability and economic growth are the characteristics shared across the Baltic states and Poland while parts of the world are yet struggling to overcome the crisis. Moderator of the panel Mr. Toms Baumanis, Chairman of the Board of the Latvian Transatlantic Organisation, will face a tricky task of leading a debate around the challenging questions: How to use the potential of growth to endorse further economic development? How to develop a cross-border energy projects and interact with a partner like Russia?
